The city is known for its gentle climate of four seasons with beautiful scenery and richness in its history and culture. There is a big tourist attraction to the Hendersonville area which is the Apple Festival. This is located on Main Street and brings an average of 20,000 tourists per year to the city.

There are ample recreational facilities and some of the popular vacation destination for over a century. Some of the attractions in this city include the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the NC Arboretum and also the Biltmore Estate.

One can also visit the State theatre of North Carolina and the National Historic Site and home place of the American poet. In winters, one can get to visit the Historic Hendersonville and the Flat Rock Area. There are also a number of indoor and outdoor activities and attractions including museums, galleries, snow tubing and children’s activities too.
