Then there is the Catawba County Museum of History which exhibits 1924 built courthouse and includes a rare British Revolution era red coat, a 1930s racing car and also a fine collection of local crafted furniture.
There is the Catawba Valley Furniture museum that traces the roots of the furniture industry in Catawba Valley. One can tour the reproduction of the early period of Catawba wood working shops and see an amazing collection of furnishings and vintage tools.
