Kitty Hawk town is situated in Dare County in North Carolina. This town was established in early 1700s as “Chickahawk”. This place became popular in December 17, 1903, when the Wright Brothers from Dayton, Ohio selected a remote barren upon which they made their first controlled powered airplane flights.

As per the 2000 census, the population of the town was 2,991 people. In 2009, the population estimates to 3,305 people.
