The tower of North Dakota State Capitol Building is usually lovingly mentioned as ‘The Skyscraper on the Prairie’; even though it’s just 241-feet 8-inches tall. The structure that is visible right now had been completed in the year 1934; amidst Great Depression. Surrounding this Complex is a gorgeous 132-acre region which gives the feeling of a park; called ‘Capitol Grounds’. It encompasses ND State Heritage Center Museum.
