Plains Art Museum was constructed in the year 1965 with name as Red River Art Centre and was situated in the former Moorhead in Minnesota. The present name was formed in the year 1975 and was housed in Moorhead till 1996. After that the museum was renovated and was opened to the public in the 1997. The museum has a wide collection of art with exhibitions that may rotate accordingly and also visitors can find some paintings that are being well preserved reflecting the cultural heritage of this place.
