Mandan: Attractions and more...
For those who crave a bit of ‘nature’, Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is one of the best options. This restored military monument is located just on outskirts of Mandan. Its responsibility has been rested with ‘The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department’. On this site, there is also a campground; standing exactly on the banks of Missouri River. Biking, hiking, and walking trails have also been made available; that too, directly from campground.
Timings
This park remains open every single day between 0800 and 1800 hrs.
North Dakota State Railroad
North Dakota State Railroad Museum should not be missed out at any cost. Visitors would find an amazing collection with regards to rolling stock. They are inclusive of 16-ton BN Yard Mule, Soo Lines Caboose constructed in the year 1913; and 9 other exhibits.
Timings
This museum remains open between 25th of May and 3rd of September from 1300 to 1700 hrs (all 7 days).
