Williston can be described as a city located in Williams County, North Dakota, US. It’ also its county seat.
Williston was discovered in the year 1887. Its name has been derived from ‘Daniel Willis James’; i.e. one of the board members of ‘North Pacific Railroad’ Company. This organization was founded by James J. Hill, his friend.
Newspaper which is into daily use in Williston is ‘Williston Herald’. The city is served by ‘Sloulin Field International Airport’. It also houses ‘Williston State College’. Williston holds the pride of being home to ‘Miss North Dakota’ Scholarship Pageant.
