The Pump house center for arts is housed inside the former Pump house of the Chillicothe Water and Sewer Co. The pump house was actually constructed in 1883. In 1979, it was listed in the national register of historic places. This center is also a gift shop and in 1970, it was in ruins and the city officials were going to demolish it. However, in mid 1980s, it was saved by many preservationists and artists. at present, it is restored to its present beautiful state providing artifacts of the city history.
