Founded in 1915, the Cleveland Playhouse is the first regional theater in America. Founded by a group of eight prominent Clevelanders, it became and still remains an artist driven theater serving the Cleveland community through its productions and theater education programs. It is 300,000 square feet of complex and its present director is Michael Bloom.
