Playhouse Square Center is the second largest theaters complex in the United States. Constructed in 1920s, in a span of 19 months, the theaters got renovated many times. This theaters presented silent movies, vaudeville and legitimate theater. From 1968 to 1969, it was closed. In 1973, it opened and played for two years. By 1978, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
