The Ohio Theater is a performing arts center known as the official theater of the State of Ohio. It is a historic 1928 movie palace saved from demolition in 1969 and restored. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977. This theater is owned and operated by nonprofit arts management organization CAPA, which means the Columbus Association for Performing Arts. This was formed to save the theater in 1969. Bill Connor is its executive director. It was built by multiple architects.
