Cortland is a city situated in Cortland County, New York. With a population of over 18,000 residents, Cortland is also known as the ‘Crown City’ owing to its location. Cortland represents a healthy mix of metropolitan culture and Victorian heritage.
Cortland enjoys a continental climate with all four seasons. Winters are moderate whereas summers are temperate. Spring and autumn add richness to the region with the colourful foliage.
Cortland, incorporated as a city in 1990, was earlier called ‘The Lower Village of Homer’. It has developed as a trade centre and has a large network of transportation facilities.
