The most remarkable feature with regards to Black River Reservation is ‘Bridgeway Trail’, i.e. 3.5 miles of all-purpose paved trail which goes on to follow ‘Black River’ via its meanderings between Elyria and Lorain; thereby having spanned 4 city jurisdictions together. Moreover, this reservation happens to feature 3 exclusive picnic areas: Day’s Dam, Bur Oak, and High Meadows; with each of them having contributed special character on its part to natural beauty and variety of such an impressive park.
