It is also known as a Cleveland suburb. Northfield Center Township, Stow, Aurora and such other cities are neighbors of Hudson city.

The population of the city was 22,439 as per the 2000 census, which made the city the 389th largest city in the Midwest. In 2006, it estimated to 23,154 people.  According to 2009 estimates, the population is 23,072 people and compared to 2000 estimates, it is a growth of 3.19 percent.

Geographically, the city has a total area of 25.9 square miles, of which 25.6 square miles is land and 0.3 square miles is water.
