Kent State University Museum opened in 1985 in Rockwell hall, the original University Library. This was renovated to meet the highest museum standards. This building was built in 1927, and reflects Beaux Arts design elements that are resorted under Ted Curtis supervision, a former Kent State University architect. The gallery at the museum has elements of the original building and consists woodwork, chandeliers and marble.
