Kettering is a city which is located in Montgomery and Greene Counties in the United States of Ohio. It is the largest suburb which is situated in the Dayton, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. This city was incorporated in 1955 from the former Township of Van Buren and is named after the inventor Charles F Kettering.

As per the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 57, 502 people. As of 2009, the city’s population is 54,136 people. So compared to 2000 census, it has had a population growth of -4.93 percent.

As per the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 18.7 square miles of land.

Kettering gets 39 inches of rainfall and 18 inches of snowfall each year.  The month of July is known as the warmest month with 87 degrees and the month of January is low with 22 degrees. The number of days which has measurable precipitation is 126. Overall, there are 180 sunny days each year.
