Settled in 1831 and incorporated in 1842, the former oil producer has now become a processing and marketing centre for grains, dairy and meat products.
With the Ottawa River flowing through the city’s fertile land, the landscape abounds in natural beauty. Its farms and fields not only offer a scenic view but also contribute significantly to the economy.
