Tourist Guide Mansfield

Located in the western foothills of the Alleghenies, Mansfield is the seat of Richland County in Ohio, USA. It covers an area of 77.5 sq km and has a population of around 51,000.

Mansfield has a humid continental climate with Lake Erie moderating the temperatures. Winters are cold and dry with temperatures dropping below freezing point. Summers are hot with an average high of 32°C, while spring and fall are mild.

Established in 1808, Mansfield grew in population and economy after the completion of a railroad connecting the town with Sandusky.

Mansfield is located on a hilly region surrounded by fertile farmlands. The city is home to many parks such as the Richland Carrousel Park and the Malabar Farm State Park. The Ohio State Reformatory is famous for being haunted and attracts many curious tourists for its haunted tours. The Mansfield Playhouse, Ohio’s second oldest theatre is also a famous attraction.
