Port Clinton is located on the northern coast of Lake Erie, in Ottawa County in Ohio, USA. The city covers an area of 6 sq km and has a population of over 10,000.

Port Clinton experiences a continental climate. Summers are hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C. Winters are cold and are accompanied by snow with temperatures ranging from –5°C to 1°C.

Known as the Walleye Capital of the World, the town still makes its living from Lake Erie. Tourism is also a major contributor to the economy. The city hosts the annual Walleye Festival that features fishing, scrumptious food and entertainment.

The city has many parks and gardens that facilitate bird-watching and other outdoor activities. The African Safari Wildlife Park allows visitors to marvel at the native African animals. Due to its location on the coast, Port Clinton attracts tourists with its beaches, water sports and sightseeing.
