Sandusky is the seat of Erie County in Ohio, USA. Located on the shores of Lake Erie in northern Ohio, the city covers an area of 57 sq km.
Sandusky has one of the best-protected harbours on the lake. Its location has made it an important fishing and shipping centre with a population of around 30,000.
Winter is very cold and is accompanied by little snowfall with temperatures dropping below freezing point. Spring brings warmth to the landscape with an average temperature of 20°C. Summer can be very hot and humid with temperatures touching 33°C, but the advent of fall brings down the temperature.
Sandusky’s shoreline has made is one of the best vacation spots in the area. The Bayfront Corridor located along the downtown area has some of the most beautiful waterfronts in Ohio. The city’s biggest attraction is the Cedar Point Amusement Park which has been named as the best amusement park in the world.
