Tourist Guide Pauls Valley
Pauls Valley is a city situated in Garvin County in Oklahoma in U.S.A. The city covers a total area of 8.4 sq miles and has an elevation of 873 feet. There are numerous recreational facilities which one can find on the Pauls Valley City Lake and the Longmire Lake including swimming, camping, jet skiing, fishing and more. As per the 2000 census the city had a population of 6,256 people.
The climate is pleasant with 233 sunny days and a snowfall of 6 inches on an average. January is the coldest month and July the warmest. Smith Paul was the 1st person who founded the city along with a group of Chickasaw Indians in 1837. In 1909, brick streets were set up in the city; hence most of the streets till date are made up of bricks. The city is now a shipping center and produces cotton, alfalfa, corn and sorghum.
