Lake John Wells is a popular spot to visit for boating, swimming, skiing, fishing and other water sport recreation. The Brier Creek Golf Course is a great place to visit for those fond of playing golf. One can enjoy a number of events and festivals in the city such as the Reunion Weekend with an art and craft display as well as people selling homemade ice cream, the Fall Festival Car Show in late October which showcases several classic and vintage cars driving down from the Main Street to bumper or the Christmas Parade in the 1st week of December.
Haskell County Museum is a historical site built in 1921 and displays information about the American Legion Hut which was a community center. There are political meetings, plays, dances, parties, boxing and wrestling matches which take place here from time to time. Royal Host Club at Lake Eufaula which lies to the west of Stigler offers excellent recreational facilities such as boating, water skiing, fishing, golfing, horseback riding and more. Gentry Creek campground offers camping and has vast shorelines with sandy beaches and rocky areas.
