Tulsa has many permanent dance, theatre and concert groups. One of this includes Theatre Tulsa. This is a community theatre company in US. It is considered as the oldest continuously operated company of its sort in the west of the Mississippi River and also the seventh oldest in the nation. The company started in 1922 under the name Tulsa Little Theatre. Unlike other theatres, this theatre managed to remain active during the depression period and became the first community theater in America to produce “Our Town” in 1939.
