Route 66 is a historic road and has many historical backgrounds to it. There are also many surviving vintage Route 66 buildings in the city, right from cafes to gas stations and motels. The Mother road inspires everyone to experience the past route walk taken by their parents and grandparents. However, the current map does not include the route 66 in the map as the last stretch of the road disappeared from official maps in 1984.
