The City Park covers 47 acres of land with several facilities including a junior Olympic size pool, a kid’s pool, covered shelters, a ten acre pond, baseball and softball courts, volleyball and football fields, basketball courts and restrooms. The Czech Hall is a national historic site which preserves the heritage and culture of the place. The annual Czech Festival is held in the city on the 1st Saturday of the month of October. There are several community events celebrated such as the Freedom Fest, Concerts in the park, Easter on the Prairie and Christmas in the Park. Express Clydesdale is a traditional western ranch which provides information about the historical background of the breed of Clydesdale horse and the state they belong to. One can buy a souvenir or hand crafted leather article from the gift shop located at the ranch. For those who enjoy playing golf, the Golf Club at Surrey Hills or the Westbury Golf & Country Club are the ideal spots to visit.
