Tourist Guide Ashland

Situated in Jackson County in Oregon, USA, the town of Ashland is located in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains and at the south end of the Rouge Valley. Built on the banks of the Bear Creek, it is spread over a total area of 16.8 sq km.

The city is blessed with a mild climate. Temperatures in summer and fall can climb over 32°C, while winter temperatures tend to remain around 2°C with occasional snow.

As the climate is conducive to gardening, visitors will find a number of orchards lining the city. Its terrain and climate allow for a host of outdoor recreational activities. The most popular among them is skiing on Mount Ashland.

Tourism contributes significantly to the economy of the town with a population of around 19,000. Home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland is full of cultural opportunities.
