Gilberts Museum is the premiere children’s museum in the region, a must visit for the entire family. A trip to Fort Stevens, a large State Park, has lots to offer, from the largest campground to miles of trails. The Tillamook County Museum houses an eclectic collection, most fascinating being Tillamook Indian artefacts. The Bonneville Lock and Dam is worth a visit for its grandeur. Every region of the state has a host of festivals and events celebrated. The Portland Rose Festival is the premiere civic festival of the state. One of the most exciting events celebrated on the coast of Oregon is the Bandon Cranberry Festival. Oregon State Fair displays more than 26,000 exhibits, along with rides, culinary delights and agricultural exhibits.
