Beaverton is a city situated in Washington County in the state of Oregon in U.S.A. The city lies in the midst of the Tualatin Valley between Mt. Hood and the Oregon coast. The city covers a total area of 16.3 sq miles and has an elevation of 189 feet. The topography has an abundance of rivers, wetlands, rolling hills and lush green forests. As per the 2007 census, the city had a population of 2,137,565 making it the 6th largest city in the state. There are hundred parks in the city covering thousand acres of land with biking paths and hiking trails, thus adding to the green space of the city. The city has a humid climate with 3 inches of snowfall and 42 inches of rainfall per year. There are 137 sunny days, with July being the warmest month and January the coldest.
