Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District is in close proximity from the city and the must see sights here are the historic Jenkins Estate on Cooper Mountain and the Tualatin Hills Nature Park. Progress Downs Municipal Golf Course is an eighteen hole course which has a diving range that is lighted, double decked and covered. There are 77 vineyards in Tualatin Valley where the Pinot Noir varieties of grapes are produced. The Nike campus covering 750 acres of land is situated in Beaverton and is a frequently visited site by several sportsmen. Beaverton is 7 miles from Portland and one can easily visit the tourist attractions in Portland such as the Portland Wildlife Sanctuary, the Waterfront Park, the Oregon Zoo and more.
