Sparks Lake

The Spark Lake is situated off the Cascade Lake Highway at a distance of 25 miles west of Bend. The lake is named after a stockman “Lige” Sparks. The lava from the Mt Bachelor Volcanic chain which lead to the formation of Lake Spark some 10,000 years ago. The lake is nestled on the south west edge of the mountain and is well known for its shallow waters and trout and covers an area of 400 acres.
