Canby is a city situated in Clackamas County in the state of Oregon in U.S.A. The city covers a total area of 3.8 sq miles and has an elevation of 153 feet. The Willamette River lies to the north and the city of Aurora to the south of Canby. As per the 2007 census, the city had a population of 15,140 inhabitants.
Canby has several local nurseries producing a wide variety of plants, seeds and bulbs. The area near Clackamas County is more of an industrial area. The city was incorporated in 1893 and is the 2nd oldest city in the County.
Canby city gets 4 inches of snowfall and 44 inches of rainfall in a year on an average. There are 140 sunny days in a year with July being the warmest month and January the lowest.
Some of the main events which take place in the city include General Canby Days and summer concerts in the Park and the Clackamas County Fair.
