The Coaster Theatre Playhouse stages several comedies, concerts, musicals, dramas, mysteries and other productions. The playhouse has been in this entertainment business for over 30 years and is still going strong. The shows are open all the year round.

The Haystack Rock has been termed as a well known landmark of the Cannon Beach. The rock has an altitude of 235 feet and is open at low tide during summertime. The rock is protected as a marine sanctuary, Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. This place is famous as there is a tiny cave system that pierces through the rock and can be observed from the coastline as well.

The Cannon Beach is located some 80 miles to the west of Portland and 25 miles to the south of Astoria with the town of Astoria being known for its musical extravaganzas and entertaining melodramas. The Puffin Kite Festival is a kite event held on Cannon Beach in the month of April. It also stages the annual Sandcastle Day in the month of June and features various sand-sculpting contests.
