The city of Coos Bay is situated in the United States in the Oregon State amidst the Coos County. This city shares a border with a city called North Bend. These two cities are frequently considered one and referred to as Coos Bay-North Bend or the Bay Area. The Coos Bay is located in the region where the Coos River merges with Coos Bay on the Pacific Ocean. The gross area of Coos Bay is 15.9 miles out of which water exists over 5.3 square miles and 10.6 square miles is occupied by land. 35 miles towards the Southeast of Coos Bay is the Sitkum region where the tallest living specimen of Douglas-fir tree in Oregon can be seen. The height of this tree is just more than 100 meters.
