Tourist Guide Grants Pass

Situated in Oregon, USA, the city of Grants Pass is located on the banks of the Rogue River. This heavily forested city is surrounded by the Siskiyou Mountains and covers an area of 19.9 sq km.

Grants Pass is blessed with a mild, temperate climate. Summers are hot and dry with an average temperature of 32°C, but it gets cool at night. The average temperature in winter is around 8°C and is accompanied with rain and occasional snowfall.

The city grew after the railroad was extended to the settlement. Incorporated in 1887, it is the county seat of Josephine County. With a population of over 30,000, tourism has replaced timber as the dominant industry.

The Rouge River is famous for its wild and scenic beauty. Known as a hub for outdoor activities, the city is a favourite among adventure seekers. With the city proudly displaying its motto ‘It’s the climate’, it’s not hard to imagine what makes Grants Pass so popular
