The Natural Reserve place here is called Tom Mc Call Nature Preserve.
The mountain and volcano area is called Mount Hood. This place has some great specialty museums and they are International Museum of Carousel Art, Hood River Country Historical Museum and Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center.
Around 27 miles towards the South is another beautiful city called Mt. Hood, 47 miles towards the west is Gresham and 58 miles towards the west is Portland. This place has two prominent annual events that are indeed worth being a part of. They are called Hood River Pear and Wine Festival and Hood River Classic Hunter Jumper Horse Show.
The Hood River Classic Hunter Jumper Horse Show is an annual five day event that has some great horses from the Northwest.
