Situated in Lincoln County in Oregon, USA, Lincoln City is located on the Oregon Coast. Bordered on the east by the Devil’s Lake and the Coast Range and on the west by the Pacific Ocean, the city covers an area of 13.9 sq km.
The city enjoys a mild, maritime climate. The average temperature in winter is 10°C which drops to around 2°C at night. In summer, the average temperature ranges from 18°C at the coast to 27°C inland.
Incorporated in 1965, the city has a population of around 7,500. Tourism is the major industry in Lincoln City.
The city attracts vacationers with its sandy beaches, clean air, and its pine and evergreen forests. Recreational activities can be carried out at the Salmon River to the north and Siletz Bay and River to the south. Nicknamed as the ‘Kite Capital of the World’, the city receives steady winds due to its proximity to the ocean.
