Hi, I grew up in Corvallis, lived there over 60 years ago, left in 1951 when my family moved away. I went to school the first 9 years in Corvallis. A lot of nostalgia for me. However, I see nothing here to attract folks. Can find no pictures. It is a beautiful city. I worked at the University for awhile in 1970. My father had a business from about 1945 - 1947. He became disabled and we had to move on. I have very fond memories of Corvallis.
Portland people are really nice and friendly. The land is green and smells great. This is probably what makes its people wonderful. You get so many places to visit, including discreet Downtown, NW modern district, Powel's bookstore. You also can visit the natural attractions (actually rather a MUST) like Rose Graden, river Waterfront, Forest Park and much more to do there.
