Located in the Pacific North-west region of USA, Oregon has a rugged mountain chain, the Cascade, running through it. Its Pacific shoreline is adorned with narrow coastal plains of sandy beaches. Oregon has been bestowed with a diverse landscape, characterized by great forested mountain slopes and treeless basins, rushing rivers and barren playas, lush valleys and extensive wastelands.
Having an economy that is primarily dependent on agriculture and lumber, Oregon is now experiencing a rapid growth in the tourism and electronics industry.
