Tourist Guide Seaside:

The city of Seaside lies at the southern end of the Clatsop Plains and is situated in Oregon, USA. Seated at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, the city is split by the Necanicum River. It covers an area of 10.4 sq km and has a population of around 7,000.

Seaside receives very little sunshine throughout the year. The average summer temperature is around 19°C, while in winter the average temperature is around 10°C. The city receives abundant rainfall that sometimes floods the coastal areas.

Incorporated in 1899, Seaside is Oregon’s oldest and largest seaside resort. It lies at the very end of the Lewis and Clark trail. The city was named after the railroad magnate, Ben Holladay’s summer resort, Seaside House.

Seaside is blessed with many natural attractions that make it a popular tourist destination. Hiking in the rain forests, exploring tide pools and looking for gray whales are favourite pastimes of the locals and visitors.
