Tourist Guide Abington
Abington Township is a township situated in Montgomery County in Pennsylvania in United States. It is also one of Montgomery County’s oldest communities and dates back to prior 1700. It was incorporated in 1704. Further, it is home to some of the county’s oldest transportation routes, churches and industries. Many of the older transportation centers and older business were the forerunners of the modern Abington.
As of now, Abington is known as the pleasing residential area and offers lots of shopping centers, many small businesses and a few largest employers in Montgomery County.
As of 2000 census population estimation, there were around 56,103 of people in this township. The township has a total area of 15.5 square miles, out of which 15.4 square miles is land. Abington experiences 41 inches of rain and 29 inches of snowfall each year. The number of days with measurable precipitation is 107.
