Aliquippa was founded by merging of 3 towns, namely Woodlawn, New Sheffield and Aliquippa, which is now called as West Aliquippa. As per the United States Census Bureau, this city has a total area of 4.5 square miles, out of which 10.6 square miles is land and 0.4 square miles is water.
