Allentown is a city in the county of Lehigh in Pennsylvania, USA. This city was founded in 1762 and has an area of around 47 sq km. It houses a population of close to 106,700, and is located at a distance of 95 km from Philadelphia and about 145 km from New York City. This area was settled in the early eighteenth century and was incorporated as a city on 12 March 1867. This city became a hub for the iron industry, following the Industrial Revolution.
