The Sterling hotel which is a registered heritage building has some real good nightlife. People in the city enjoy playing golf, do skating and visit state parks for recreation. Other sources of entertainment here are Camerata singers, Fluctuations and Allentown Symphony orchestra.
The main monuments that should not be missed out when in town are Allentown Art museum, Baum School of Art, Liberty Bell Shrine Museum and Museum of Indian Culture.
If time permits and the visitors wish to explore the nearby cities as well, then they have options like Bethlehem located around 5 miles to the north east, Nazareth around 14 miles north east and Philadelphia around 47 miles south. There are numerous events that take place every year.
