The state of Pennsylvania is home to several National Parks like the Appalachian National Scenic Trail and the Valley Forge National Historical Park. The Heritage Museum, through its interactive exhibits, throws light on the life in Johnstown at the turn of the century. Philadelphia Zoo, America’s first zoo is home to more than 1,500 animals, a paradise for all animal lovers.

The Eisenhower National Historic Site provides for a peaceful getaway and a view of the South Mountains. The Gloria Dei Church National Historic Site, the oldest church in Pennsylvania is also home to the parish minister.

All the events and festivals celebrated in Pennsylvania add to its multicultural character. The Groundhog Day celebrations are a favourite with Pennsylvanians. Deck the Alley, celebrated in historic Pennsylvania, is a history lover’s paradise, with over 300 historic buildings open for public viewing. The biggest music festival in Pennsylvania, Jam the River, is held every year in May.
