Towards the west of the Southeast Lighthouse is The Mohegan Bluffs. The Bluffs are the place of battle between the inhabitant Manisee Indians and the attacking Mohegan Indians. The Mohegan Indians were driven away to the tall cliffs on the beach. A long staircase with more than hundred stairs show the way to the bottom of the cliffs.
