Maridon Museum which was opened in 2004 is the only museum in Western Pennsylvania region that exhibits the art and culture of Asia. It has more than 100 pieces of porcelain from 18th and 19th century German Meissen. It was set up by Mary Hulton Phillips. The museum owns hundreds of Chinese and Japanese ivory and jade carvings, landscape paintings, wall-hangings and relics from the Neolithic period to the present.
