Doylestown can be described as a borough located in county of Bucks, Pennsylvania, US.
Doylestown lies at the distance of 55 Km on the northern side of Philadelphia. By turn of century, i.e. in the year 1900, very few people lived over here. This borough is Bucks County’s county seat as well.
As per US Census Bureau, Doylestown’s total area is of 5.6 sq. Km (all land). Doylestown goes on to experience an ‘oceanic type of climate’. It, however, misses criteria for ‘humid subtropical climate’.
The name ‘Doylestown’ has been obtained from ‘William Doyle’; one of the founders of this place.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Doylestown was 8227; with its density being 1477.4 per sq. Km. Median income with regards to a household had been found to be $46148; whereas that with respect to a family had been $71988. Per capita income for Doylestown was $32249. Around 4.4%25 of total population was found to be below poverty line.
