Easton, a country in the east of Pennsylvania located in the United States.
Easton is one of the important cities which encompasses the most populous city, Lehigh Valley, in the third position. Colloquially, Easton is called as “The Little Apple”. It is also famous as the “City of Churches”.
The city of Easton is divided into four divisions. They are the Historic Downtown, the West Ward, the South Side and the College Hill.
Easton was a significant military centre at the time of the American Revolutionary War. The place was commercially noteworthy during the railroad and canal period and it was the major transportation centre for the industry of steel.
The railroads replaced the canal transportation and the use of automobiles came into existence during the middle of the 20th century.
The density of the population of the locality was calculated as 6,168.4 per square miles. The cultural makeup of the city was White, African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and many others.
