Ephrata is a borough which is located in the township of Ephrata in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States. The borough is situated in the south eastern part of Harrisburg and towards the northern part of Philadelphia. The sister city of Ephrata is Eberbach and it is situated in Germany. Even though there are many small scale industries for manufacturing, Ephrata is not well known for that. According to the history of this place, it is well-known for its agricultural community and pleasure resort. It is famous for having been the previous member of the Mystic Order of the Solitary. Considering the studies made by the United States Census Bureau, the place has a total of 3.6 square miles of area of which 0.28%25 of the area is under water. The borough has different small and large scale businesses. The public library of Ephrata is associated with Library System of Lancaster Country. Mayor Ralph Mowen is the present Mayor of Ephrata.
