Tourist Guide Farmington

Farmington is an unincorporated community which is located in Fayette County in Pennsylvania. This community is located almost fifty miles to the south east side of Pittsburgh. This is the closest town to Fort Necessity. Farmington is even the name of a small village which is situated in Berks County, which is actually a part of Mertztown in Pennsylvania.

This is not the only community in Pennsylvania. There are also similar named cities in Pennsylvania which are situated in Tioga County, Warren County and in Clarion County.

The US Postal Service code for Farmington in Fayette County is 15437. This county received national attention in 1968 when there was a mine explosion that killed almost 78 miners.

One of the local festivals carried out here is the Mountain Area Fair which is held in the month of August from 20 August to 25th August.

As per the 2009 estimates, the population of this city is 1,952 people.
