Gettysburg is located in Adams County in Pennsylvania, USA. It is a borough with a population of around 7,500 residents and a total area of approximately 4 sq km. Gettysburg is famous primarily for two things: its location near the Gettysburg Battlefield and the Lutheran Theological Seminary.

Gettysburg was initially inhabited by several different Native American tribes; it was formally incorporated in 1806. There are a lot of things to explore in Gettysburg. The natural beauty, ski slopes, farmlands, recreational areas and so forth are to be found in abundance in this picturesque borough.

The borough enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year. The maximum average annual temperature is around 17°C, and the minimum average annual temperature is nearly 5°C. Tourism, educational institutions and the banking sector are major contributors to the growing economy of Gettysburg.
